Yep, kind of an autocross prerequisite. Last years set was corded pretty severely by the end of the season.

The Trans Am has a way bigger trunk than I thought it did. It looks like you could probably get 2 sets of tires in there.

Re71 are perfect for light cars with oow hp, apparently Rival S and A052 better for heavier higher hp cars

My Miata is neither of those things lol. Looked at getting some A052s, but they were going to be over $100 more a set, so I stuck with what I knew worked.

Oh, I meant heavy or powerful, lol. It’s SCCA  STS prepped (coilovers, headers, intake, wider wheels/tires) so it makes marginally more power than stock. If I bought an ECU and got it tuned it’d still only make maybe 120 whp.

Haha, classic miata life! The Mini is good with RE71 and its making about 200 ish crank and weight 2800 lb on the scales

A052 apparently have a lot of forward bit, so they will be better on the C5Z making 400 bhp and 3300 lb on the scales. We’ll know more this week, my tires are supposed to be here tomorrow :)

205/50-R15s are small and light.

Not that the 275/40-R17s on the TA WS6 wheels are super heavy, but they  are nearly 3” wider.

Yeah, I’m more at the 2000 lbs  end of the scale. I’m still contemplating if I want to put tires on my spare set of 15x7 wheels, and whether I should put all-seasons on them or be dumb and throw on slicks.

 Blech. Diff oil is foul. And sticker than molasses. No way in hell I'd put that anywhere that shared airspace with the passenger compartment.
